Does any one know for sure how to reset the ECU in our 2.4's? I've read time and time again that you just disconnect the negative battery cable but there is no specified time nor can you tell if it worked...Does anyone know for sure or what is best, what worked for them?

Normally, disconnecting the battery and waiting a minute or two will discharge the electrical system and reset things, but if you have other problems, ie. sensor problem, or check engine problem, it will make it go away until the ecu dectects that a problem still exists. Have the vehicle scanned by a mechanic if thats the case and see what the problem is.

There is really no problem, just I switched my CAI back to stock and want it to reprogram.... a few minutes you say, eh?

usually it will take 30 seconds to a minute, but you won't know that it reset, if you are just switching the CAI back you don't have to do a reset on the ecu.

lol... short term fuel trims update instantly... you think a cold air intake will change anything significantly?
