The ferry from Muskegon is $203 round trip with a car. Or $85 just a person round trip. Plus the 3 hours to get to Muskegon.
Or, 400+ miles and 6+ hours through Chicago.
Or, 4 hours to Ludington, plus $78 for me and $98 for car round trip.
Maybe we'll go to Chicago next time, Pat does want to meet y'all.

I have an incredible idea.....Road America is only about 15 miles west of Sheboygan, and as luck would have it, that's a race weekend!

Saturday, August 21st is the GT race for the Speed World Challenge. Admission per car (for the entire day) is only $40, and that includes access to the paddocks (where all the race cars are). Any interest in this?

Personally, if anyone else is up to it, I'd take my car on-track for the 1-hour lunchtime touring session ($50 per car).....cars will be limited to about 55mph or so, but the track is one of the best in the world (nearly 4 miles long) and the scenery is incredible, and I'll never be able to afford to actually race there.

Ok if anyone cares what I have to say, I'm going to say this. I'm gonna be coming up straight from work that day, Nor do I really feel like playing car chase with everyone. Plus paying 40 dollars, my expenses are really limited this month. I'm spending money on gas to get up there liqour, and maybe some extra cash incase it is needed. That's just my opinion. So if everyone decides to go then, sorry to say count me out. I really want to go, but i'm in no mood to have to drive more after working all day and driving another 3 hours.

It doesn't seem that the track idea got much of a response, so it probably won't fly. I really wanted to see the CTS-V racecars in action......hopefully Cadillac will continue with SCCA racing next year.

as far as the RA part goes...that would be awesome, but we would have to see how many people can/and wants to go, we all dont have to bring our cars for that we could pile in 3 or 4 to check out the racing....i would definatly be all for checking out the racing, and come back here to eat and drink and whatnot, matt i will call you, and if anyone else would like to do the road america hangout...lemme know asap!!.

So now i'm trying Sarah, who's is marc's brother's(Bob) girlfriend. But she's iffy right now because supposdly her mom's bday around that weekend. I was at least trying to get someone to ride with me, but if not I"ll definatly come up there. I miss you guys, and like to meet some new people. I'm going up there to have fun, party and thats it nothing else will be on my mind.

ok heres the Road America schedule for sat, and also the prices :blink:
gates open at 7am, qualifying is 8am, and there will be racing till at least 6pm, so this is an all day thing...the reason i say this is because of the ticket price.....ticket is 40.bux per person pricey yes, but for an all day thing, and drinking, and we could even grill out there as well...meet the racers and cars...for 10 bux off the admission price...you would need to bring in 3 or more non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army. W can also hide someone in the trunk :thumbsup:

to get your car on the track for the touring session is an additional 50 bux...and the way most people do this is let the lead pace car take off, and hold the rear pace car back to have a lil fun in the corners :thumbsup: a few friends that have gone before have gotten up to 80 ish..lol

now for any one that wants to go to the Road America part, i need a head count so i can figure out a time to meet up, and those that wont go, there will be a time to meet at my house after 6pm......if nobody can really afford the Road America, then we can figure on other things..ther is also Lakefest, with a few bands....so please gimme some info on what everyone would want to do

Jon, thanks for throwing a party. I had a good time, even though it looked like some of the time, we were just lifeless. But I think it got better when we all headed up to lake Fest. You did a good job hosting and everything. I was lifeless at one point, cause well u know u get up at 5 work till 1:30 and head up for a 2.5 hour drive. Well when u sit down on a couch and had a drink already and full , you kind of just want to zone out.
It was great to see to all of who that came, and too meet some new people. PHil your mom's cookie's were awesome, but we dont expect u to bring them all the time.
Jon, what was up with your friends car. That thing was Hideous. I hope he seriously doesnt think that the p.o.s will pick him up any dates in the near future.

I'm not sure what it's made of.....some kind of composite (maybe CF), but defintely not metal.

And the dude kneeling by the Viper was maybe 6"2" or so....bear in mind, that the top of the Viper's front tire is only about 21" tall....

Jon, don't sweat it. You did just fine, for juggling between 3 parties. As long as you say hi to people, and introduce them to everyone. That's a good start. As host, you can't just stick to one crowd, it will make other's a little timid. But u did great! Stop worrying about it.

Was very disappointing^^^that someone couldn't show because of someone else's mess up.

Jon, I really had fun and like the beautiful scenery by the lake on our cruise around town. Food was great! It was too bad that your new toy you bought at the store to get more than 2 tv stations didn't work because...how many did it take to plug in an antenna for the tv...lol.

It was nice to see everyone again...even though I was tired from the night before--out drinking with Alex, Phil, and Marc.
