Iowa Modders?

Beings i searched for the Iowa thread and it hasn't been posted on since 06 i thought i would start a new one.

I am wanting to see if anyone from the state is still on here and would want to possibly do a BBQ or something during the summer. Just an Idea feel free to PM me if you like this idea..

It's about a 4 hr drive for me, went there to pick up a bumper for my Z but if you get enough people to come I may be interested in making the trip.

Yeah that is my plan to see if i can get a bunch of people, really i am gonna prolly open it up to anyone who lives close and wants to make the trip either here or somewhere.. There are too many Scion car clubs around here and i want to make one that is Alero based.... would have to think of a name for it and see what i can make out of it

well i am from Cedar Rapids but i was going to leave it up to anyone who wanted to have the get together where we all would think of a centralized location to have it so its easier for everyone

It's not so central but I'm throwing a meet in topeka when heartland opens up and I know some people on here that would be interested in going if there car is ready. kwauck, alerob888

yeah i guess i am gonna end up trying to rebuild my engine i mean nothing wild yetjust a few mods, gonna try and get a cai in and maybe finish out the stereo for now... that wouldn't be a bad idea of meeting in Topeka. and if i am lucky i will get up to ASS sometime when its done

Well I'm just waiting for the schedule to be posted for the drag strip to start a thread. But since there are not a lot of aleros in this area I will be inviting other cars too for a hopefully big turnout.

I wouldn't have the Alero anyways, since its still in South Dakota, but I'd still like to meet everyone. I'd be bringing the supercharged F150.

I am from Harlan, IA which is about 40 minutes from Council Bluffs, IA. Can get to Omaha, NE under a hour, too. We just got a 1999 Alero from a dealer with just 114,000 miles on it. The things wrong with it include a non-working engine temperature gauge and the fuel gauge works but not correctly. lol

well then i am gonna take it as if we get the whole BBQ thing i take it you would be interested in coming to it. i am gonna try and make it after A.S.S after i get mine fixed.. in the search for a 2.4 to get mine running again

omg here it is almost a year later and my car is still dead in the water.... I really need to get my ass in gear and get the good old beast up and running.... maybe i'll get some of my buddies to help me get it done and we will have to plan something for anyone who wants to come....

ok so now have another Alero, and have my head on straight now i need to get them both up and running beings to it the new one does run and runs WELL!!:posi: it kinda scared me right off the bat when i started driving another alero but the wife thinks its a great thing because she's pretty much in control of what the new one will look like beings its gonna get given to her as soon as the Silver on gets done, i think that i might end up finding either a 3800 series II or another 3400 like whats in the new one...... decisions decisions decisions...........
