I think this is the right area to post. but anywho
I have a 2dr alero. I broke my old speaker grills when putting my new speakers in. So i pulled the deck lid off today as i finally got around to getting the covers from a junkyard.but what is the procedure for taking it off and putting it back on? because it came offeasy since it had no covers, but i doubt it will be simple putting it back in.
I know the gray trim around it comes off but im not sure how.
Could anyone assist with this?

well the deck lid is held in with 4 10mm bolts, the wiring harness thats it, put the harness back where ya found it, try to get the bolts on the old marks, remove the striker either in the deck lid or the secondary latch in the body panle, to get nice even gaps
or if your talking about the package shelf, remove the 1/4 trim first with your clip tool, put the seats down if ya can, remove the package shelf hold down it has 3-4 clips, then it slides in you will see it has hooks underneath it, slide it in, then reverse the interior pieces, its real easy

^what he said. DONT just yank the trim off....you will break the clips/plastic mounting tabs for them. use a clip tool to get behind the clip and pry.
