i did a quick search but couldnt really find anything, tho it was probably my wording.

My windshield is pitted, like not severe, but enough to cause wicked glare. is there a way to reduce this? i dont know if its polish or not, but i thought i heard that rainx had something out that kind of solves this temporarily

I don't know of any retail products, but Safelite (a national auto glass repair chain) has a compound that supposedly does exactly what you need.

i had the same problem. it looked like glitter on my windshield whenever the sun hit it. very difficult to see. my solution: new windshield.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Looks like its time to take advantage of my glass replacement with no deductible on my insurance. :)

Thanks. yeah i called safelite, its like 230 with labor for a new windshield. and unfortunatly my insurance wont cover unless its cracked. they dont cover for replacement due to normal wear and tear.

so put a crack in it and have your insurance replace it

$230 is damn expensive to replace a windshield. i think mine was $150ish and they even came to my house to do it.

"While an experienced user will quickly identify which type of windshield damage can be readily repaired, the novice or beginner should know that ‘pitted’ or ‘sandblasted’ windshield damage will usually result in having to be replaced."

...sorry.
