Figure I would put out the idea now while theres time to plan and see who all would be interested I figure have it in Manitobia cause it's pretty center, as I think it would be pointless to have it on one side of the country and make everyone drive really long distances. Also if anyone in the northern states would be interested in coming that would be cool too.

It's a 38 hour drive to ASS for me so I figure I would suggest this instead.

customs is allowed to totally strip down your car and leave it that way

i'll never cross the border with my car

Ttop191
01-14-2010, 10:14 PM
it doesn't really happen too often, I live 15 mins from the border, and i go up to Canada just about every other weekend, they wont strip your car unless they have a really good reason, not like they just do it for fun.

and on topic... what part of the province?

manitoba is about a hour and a half drive from me, so of course i'm in!

Don't know yet we only have 3 Canadians in for it I'm thinking between Winnipeg and Brandon.

Sweet we just really gotta round up more Canadians.

Also I'm thinking it should be a campout. so if anyone has a suggestion as where to camp in Manitoba please by all means suggest it as I have never been to manitoba.

colonel6632
01-14-2010, 10:52 PM
Souris MB is actually a cool little place

heres a link
http://www.sourismanitoba.com/index.html
then go to the visitor stuff, then attractions. then brandon is pretty close. and this maybe only matter to me, but brandon has a bar and some peelers. and taco bell, and stuff. maybe make a alero convo there, lol.

Colonel that looks like a really nice town, I'll probably just grab a spot at the campground $16/night is a good price. They look to have a pretty nice golf course there too so I can see the possibility of me bringing clubs along.

Well, I wouldn't be able to go for two reasons. One I don't currently have a passport. I need to get one soon. And two Winnipeg I believe is about a 36 hour drive from where I live.

colonel6632
01-17-2010, 02:30 PM
yup, i drove through there once. it was nice. i'm not sure what there is all to do. theres no lake but there is a pool. and if we got a couple tent sites all together we could have some fires and such

When are you going to have it?

IDK it's only 1,761 miles for me and 28 hours

colonel6632

AbHeLlRaZoR

Pick a weekend in May, June, or July. I don't really want a long weekend one cause it makes booking accomidations a PITA.

colonel6632
01-18-2010, 12:55 AM
well, we need a list of people. i'll start it. if you want to go, add your name to the list

We should all chip in and rent a boat... or go golfing and T-up the govenor in the Carts and race around the course.

Edit: So after some review I've learned that it is furthure for Ontario members to drive than it is for me and I'm coming from Red Deer, AB so is there a possibilty that we should change the location to somewhere in SK, is there much to do there? Corner Gas has led me to believe that it's pretty dull for visitors. lol

One of my friends said he went up to Calgary, Alberta last year and drove through Saskatchewan on the way there. He said it was the most boring place he had ever been to and it seem liked there was nothing for miles and miles.

Yea, I have heard Manitoba is pretty nice and Idk if its that bad or not because I myself have never been to Saskatchewan I was just going based off of what a visitor had told me lol. I keep hearing Vancouver is nice though so I might have to check that out one of these days. Anyway back to the matter at hand I don't want to get to off-topic here.

i like this idea of meeting in regina, as i live there ^_^.

I drive a GA, but would like to see everone's rides if they came up. (I'd drive south too but harder to get time off cause i have to pay for school in the fall)

*edit* There isnt much in southern sask it's flat and yellow(from the canola fields) it brings new meaning for cruise control.

If you drive 7 hours north of regina you get to lac la ronge, which has an awsome camping ground on a lake, I'd have to go look up the site though.

I realise this, I didn't know how many of you ontario folk would show up since it's a shorter drive for me to manitoba, and I'm in AB.

I was I just didn't get much interest from you Ontario/Quebec Folk so I was starting to think if no one was coming from the east we'd move it west.
