Alright, i have a set of rims that are 18x7.5. My question is do you think a thin tire such as the 215/35/18 will hold the weight of an Alero. Because I've gotten tons of different answers at tire shops. What do you guys think? Thanks ahead of time!

you don't need to go that low with an 18, I'm running 225/40/18 no problem

I think they discontinued them, I just checked tires.com and they didn't have 18's anymore, but 17's were on sale for $87/ea. When clean they match the color of my car almost perfectly

I like your rims too. The tires still seem too thick. lol. I love thin, stretched tires on a nice rim. I was just worried about the Alero's weight. Dont wanna waste money on a tire and then have it blow in a day because of too much weight on it.

drive on them and they don't feel too thick, plus that's the right size tire for an 18 to keep the speedo right. Here's a wider shot

and one after the drop

Yea it does look great. And on the lowering springs it looks even better. I wasn't thinkin when i asked for pics, so i just went to your cardomain. lol. But i might just go with your look and get that tire. It doesn't look as bad as i thought. I was mainly worried about looking thin and a thin tire would've helped my car sit lower. But the tire isnt gonna help get low that much. lol.

Please don't put such a tiny tire on your car it will look awful. Imports can pull it off because they have a lot less fender gap from the factory, even lowered your car will still look like a 4x4 with those tires. Believe me, when I bought my rims used they had 215/35/18 on them and it looked bad, check my cardomain in my sig, the pics have not been updated after the new tires. They are just too small.

Wow. Yea, that's the perfect example i was lookin for. Same rim and tire size. It does look a little too small. How was the ride?

I know it. They came with the wheels. I switched out to a 225/45/18 as soon as I could afford to. It looks so much better. The ride was awful, lowered with gr2 struts, you could feel every crack and pebble in the road. It feels the same with my new tires but that is because I have since installed agx's and have them as stiff as they go. With the agx's on a light setting they are fairly comfortable, especially compared to the old ones.

cosign with the option but I'm so glad I don't have to do winter tires out here, I can run summer tires all year long

215 is a little narrow of a tire IMO

the most rare things are just the centercaps, otherwise they are just regular RH Evolution c6 rims.......

which btw, oldsman has two sets because before I sold my OSV wheels, I took the centercaps out and gave them to scott...
