gear oil is mostly used in rear ends of RWD cars and truck.

Is there a noticeable difference between that and the stock Dexron III? I've never serviced the fluid in the Alero... My beretta (w/T550) runs synchromesh.

I always read ATF

The tranny fluid is ATF. I run redline D4. Never heard of gear oil.
