I'm with Adria. I really do not want to drive from Texas to Michigan by myself so if we can get a caravan from Texas to go there, I may be game with enough encouragement. But I just do not see the logic in 4-6 days of driving for 2 days of fun as well...Would have been much easier when i lived in Ohio but I was broke and I think that was when I had surgery as well.

This year it will be contingent on whether the Army will give me leave for that time. And hell, if that were the case I would want to see my family.

I was the only ONE that came the furthest in a HONESTLY straight shot. I left my house at 0730 (730am) Thursday morning and got there at like 2330 (1130pm) that same night. However I give tnalero props too, cause i only did like 3 more hours than he did.

However it doesn't matter how far or how long you drive, once you get there the fun to be had will make you forget all about the drive. At least till you are all alone on the highway. LMAO. And remeber to obtain radio silence for a LONG TIME. ROTF

The Alero's are cool, I know but we are starting to get to the point of not only being able to not be a show with our cars but get together to have cool weekend and hanging out. I met Smurf and his wife last year and are just the nicest people you could want to meet. The cars might be the reason we get together and I don't want to lose that either, but more important is the friendships and the fun that will be had by all.

I will tell you my story NOW that it is over and done with. Last year I went through a crap load of stuff, just getting used to being a father, school, work, MY parents, my wifes constant nagging, and a hell of ALOT more. When I got there it was nothing but Grade A fun. Well when time came to get home, I checked my cash stash in the car and I believe I only had like 17 bucks to my name, in a state 700 miles away from my house.
Momma mo AND scott, said this was unacceptable and was NOT going to let me go without having gas money. They made sure that I had 120 dollars to get home.

So if you wanna start talking about its people like you, or that, or that person....then lets be real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (these are ONLY my acounts with people, AFTER I met them at ASS 09)

Nope, sorry still don't. The thing is when you tell SO MANY people different stories about why you didnt come to ASS last year it's kind of hard to believe you. I was told AFTER meeting other caravaners that you were not going because your mother went to the hospital the night before and that was the reason you couldn't make it. The day before was some different and the day before that was something different too. See where I am going with this???? If you say you are going then GO, if you are not going then say so or dont say anything.

When you start with the whole, I am going and start taking things upon yourself (like the PMs to the people saying they are going but not YET registered) then it gets a little akward. Honestly I believe that I would have seniority over you in that aspect as to where I have been to an Aleromod function. And then a month later did it again crossing many more states, the summer meet.

Understand that their is a mutual respect with everyone and Scot and I have never been screwed by anyone we have helped, this is why we continue to do this show and enjoy putting it on.

Scot and I put on this show because we love to, it is nice clean wholesome fun. As I have said many times and I will continue to say it, this weekend is about getting together with new and old friends alike, sharing in one common interest.

We all talk shit from time to time, but on this forum there are a lot of people that know their shit and some that don't. If you don't, ask questions, people have more respect for you than pretending you do.

Scot is called "Old" because Silent figured because he was married and had children he had to be 40 something, this is not true and if he would have gotten all upset, A.S.S would never have happen. Everyone needs to learn a little of respect for everyone else, everyone doesn't have to agree with what you say but you should as a grown adult be able to deal with criticism or words from someone that doesn't really know you.

You will notice that Smurf, could have a completely different opinion of us then he does. However, he knows us beyond this monitor and keyboard which is how you will truly understand who and what people are about.

Seeing that I am STILL unempolyed and have been since last october, and the being "too overqualified" or just "overqualified" for EVERY job that I apply for I doubt I would be able to pay someone back.

You can do whatever you want. Paying for ASS registration is recommended since it gets you goodies and prizes at ASS, and you get pre-registered for the Homecoming show.

You can go to the Homecoming show, but if you want to be in it, it's going to cost you at the "door" when you show up there with all of us. You won't have a nifty envelope of stuff for them to hand you with your name on it.

Yeah man, medical shit sucks balls. I'm thinking if I need surgery to have them do it after ASS because ASS should come first in my priority list, obviously. you can only damage the alternator when its running and then grounding the piss outta it.. Why was the car running while replacing a strut?? and why was the car started with something bridging the power terminal of the alt to the engine/body?

He had a Bosch Style top post charging Alternator. when we installed it, We failed to notice that the bar was SLIGHTLY touching the rubber boot, about a half inch away internally from the actual post. when we started the car, the engine shifted and the post poked out and shorted... i replaced the Alternator, and the cable is fried elsewhere. i will be going down tomorrow after work to run a new line, the fusible link on the line burnt out, causing the car to not charge.

So unfortunately, I did go out on a limb there and you do need to pay me for the registration so you do owe me $55.00, you can pay pal me this by Monday. I will send your Homecoming shirt to you at my cost but I would like what I already paid out.
