thats seems too cheap for a kit, and I have not heard anything about them.
The things I do know is most kits are propriatory and not interchangeable bulbs with ballasts (each maker uses a different clasp/clip to attach bulb to ballast.
The cheaper they are the sooner they are to go up (most likely) just remember you get what you pay for.
When you are looking for kits, find the ones that have the ignitor built in to the ballast, if you see them with a seperate box other then ballast, thats the ignitor and I recommend you just move on to one with it built in.
philips are good ballasts and most of the time you can see them printed on the ballast...hella is ok (most are german made)

I have had my HID kit since '02 and they are Hella Gen 3 ballasts (they look nothing like those) and I have only replaced one bulb.

Cliff, if you got them in 02 how do you know they are gen 3......if in 02 they should be big ol box. I got mine in 2000, or 01 from misterjung, lol and they said nothing about being gen anything.

It's popular for the retrofits because of the integrated ignitior which isn't on the newer designs. There are MANY knock-offs of this design.
