I'm not surehow I did it but I stripped the threads of the far right manifold hole on the head. What exactly are my options?

I almost fully stripped the second one from the left. Use a thread repair kit for M8x1.25.

Helicoils require specific taps, not just re-tapping something and magically inserting a heli coil.

When you do the Helicoil it is IMPERATIVE to drill the hole straight and do NOT wobble it.

If you can do the job on a drill press then do that!

seperated by a comma, it was two different options....

you can do a helicoil

OR

you can tap for a slightly larger bolt....

Helicoil for sure. Stripped out the threads in a rocker arm boss on the head before. Helicoiled it while the head was still on the engine. Runs like a champ.

For reference:

With ANY bolt into a blind hole there should be 1.5 time's the diameter engagement.
