The south is full of dragstrips, but does anyone know where there's a full track anywhere down here? Would love to take some driving lessons, but I know for sure there are none here in Louisiana. Anyone got some info?

there is a big road coarse outside of San Antonio TX, I talked to a guy who has been up to 160 on the strait in a Beamer M3! we run cone coarses down here in corpus, there is supposed to be a meet this weekend, I was gonna run my car but they are calling for heavy rain for us so it will most likely be cancelled.

I was just about to comment on that, Aftermath. It was at the Texas Motor Speedway, right? Only problem is that they only let you drive THEIR cars. I want to join a program where they let you learn in your own car.

at Bondurant in AZ they'll let you take your own car on the track after you complete their 4 day course.
BTW you'll prolly forget about your own car after you drive their Formula Fords..

There's NO PROBLEM RACEWAY in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. Don't know for sure if it's a full track though. Think it is.

AleroDownSouthGirl, I love you. At first I thought you were kidding with the name NO PROBLEM RACEWAY (http://www.noproblemraceway.com/). Now i just have to figure out where the heck Belle Rose, Louisiana is.

No problem raceway is about 15 miles northeast of baton rouge. They don't have a racetrack, its a drag strip for 1/4 mile racing.

Say what? Their website says they have road racing, as well as photo of it.

You gotta take I-10 to Sorrento, Louisiana and cross the Sunshine Bridge into Donaldsonville. Other that that....I'd get lost. Just rode there once.

I've confirmed that they do have a whole track on yesterday. From someone who races there nearly every weekend. Good Luck.
