So I'm confused. I was cruising and went wot. All of a sudden coolant smoke blows out of the car. Smoked the WHOLE block out. So I'm thinking SHIT I just blew a head gasket!!!! so I pop the hood can hear coolant dripping and hitting the manifold. (szzz....szzzz.. szzzz..) So have my cell phone looking. Grab a heater hose line and walla its moves freely.

What happened is the heater hose line that runs into the lower intake right behind the thermostat blew out of the LI. Anyone know what would cause this. Lucky I always carry a coolant and oil jug in my car :). Filled it up plugged the line back in and it stayed in for the 20 mile ride home. ?? When I got close to my house I went wot a couple times to diagnose the problem. Nothing. What the hell could of caused this? The o ring in it is also brand new and I siliconed the line into the LI.

Anyone who has experienced this or has any idea how this could happen let me know

was yours the metal hose to? Cause I forgot to clarify it was the metal hose that connects into the actual "heater hose" that popped out of the LI

I had mine blow off halfway down the dragstrip one time. Made a huge mess.....
But yes, the bracket on the heater hard line attaches to the rear cylinder head with a stud and nut - as your picture shows. If the nut is loose, the line can work it's way out.
