The bottom of my oil pan has dried up oil on it. i always wipe the bottom of the pan down after changing my oil. this is a constant issue......should i just drop the pan and change the gasket?

Probably yeah. Unless you can see oil coming from somewhere higher than the oil pan gasket.

i've noticed this myself... has been that way for at least 2 years. its just dried oil, so if i have a leak.. its barely anything at all.
what i need to find out, is where i'm burning it. (lost about a full quart and a half last oil change)
take a flashlight under there and see if its leaking higher. our oil pan gasket seems like it would be easy to replace.

Other than it being an annoyance, mine is wet with oil, about one or 2 nickel size drops on the floor a day. Really over 3000mile oil changes and some hard driving I never loose more than 1 to 1-1/2 of the 4 dots on the dipstick.
Between the rear valve cover, the timing case and the PITA to get the oil pan off, its not worth the effort. (Manual says its required to remove the subframe)
