I've been kicking around the idea of installing a set of aftermarket 6x9s that I pulled from my last car. I bought them in 2002, they're Cerwin Vegas, I belive the 1693

quick specs:
6x9" 3-way system
30 Hz - 22 kHz (+/- 3 dB): 55 Hz - 20 kHz
60 watts Maximum: 120 watts
(1w/1m): 90 dB
4 ohms nominal
My car: 2003 GL1... RDS HU.. I think that covers the necessary specs.
The questions are really this... "Would it be worth taking out the stock 6x9s and putting these in?" and "Will the difference even be noticable?"

I wouldn't do it unless I were going to be running them off an amp.

I have a 100 watt rockford fosgate amp I could hook up, but not exactly eager to run the wires for it.... still undecided

that's basically what I'm getting at here is overall sound quality, and if the difference would be worth it. I already like the sound of the stock system, it gets nice and loud (one day I'll add a sub, nothing huge, but something to bring out the lows and really add depth to the sound.. most likely a rockford fosgate 10".. just personal preference)
Any thoughts or opinions? Or just vote, yay or nay?

upgrade the 6X9's and add a 10 or 2, with a small amp... best for the average person

I think I'm gonna go for the gusto and make the swap this weekend, then save up for my 10" sub and amp (be a little while... I'm married... she wants us to get the big screen tv first)
