View Full Version : new orion HCCA 12.2's
well i upgraded to the new 2009 models since i blew both of my H2 HCCA's that were a couple years old, i must admit i am pretty impressed, all i need to do is save up for another 2 amps to actually start pushing these babys, but they are HUGE barely had room for the trunk to close.

Man, no wonder you have air ride. It's the only way for the car to sit level with all that in the trunk!
It looks good though... THose exhaust tips on the other hand are a different story.

Damn are you going to build a ported box for them or don't you see that necessary for your application

he reverse mounted them. that IS how they are mounted. that box would have to be f'n HUGE.
they are supposed to have a 3cu ft box for sealed and even bigger for ported. i have all of my air suspension stuff (tank, compressors, valves, lines) along with a second stinger SP1000 battery, 2.0 farad cap and a 4/1 1000w kenwood amp for my highs in my trunk already, there just isnt enough room unless i fiberglass the enclosure and i dont have the funds to do that right now as i am saving up for another 2 orion 2400 mono amps for the subs.
the biggest box we could fit in there without redoing the entire trunk was a ~2.1cu ft the subs still hit good, they are just starved for power at the moment.
