I am using emzone, got it from the Matco dealer at work. They are the 6oz cans. When I attached the gauge to the car the gauge read around 34-35. Is it suppose to be more than that? Or is my condensor finished??

are there any instructions that came with the product...

im not too fond of air conditioning so i wouldnt know what its supposed to read unless i look at mine

The low-side pressure is only a basic indication of charge level. You can't really diagnose much without having both pressure readings.

The very basic DIY method is to add refrigerant slowly until it stops getting colder.

The specified amount (in weight!) is on a label under the hood.

The specified amount (in weight!) is on a label under the hood.

That label could also be on the underside of the spare tire cover. That's where mine is.

So I checked for this number under the hood, and under the spare tire with no luck in finding it. Can anyone give me this number?

I would suggest having someone do that work for you or at least have a leak test done on it. If it just devloped a leak and you fix it soon enough, less the damge done.

All too often i replace a/c compressors due to over charge, or constant adding becuse customers dont fix a simple leak. Moisture and debris ends up eventuall cloging the inline filter and the the compressor grenades.

Now if i have a can of A/C Stop leak will that fix any leak problems i have? And if at all possible do u know the max psi I am suppose to use?

Fixes in a can only make the repair later more expensive.

The oriface valve in the a/c system regulates the amount of freon that passes through it. Stop leak can plug it and then ti has to be replaced. Putting UV dye in the system that replaces some of the oil charge in the system is the most effiecent way to find the problem. I recently had to do this, my high side valve was leaking. Saved a ton time and my compressor.

Also a/c charge is not mesured in PSI, its measured in LBS, OZ, or KG, the system is supposed to be vacuumed of air, and since air compresses, thats why its measured in a weight amount, not a pressure.

1.35lbs is the max charge on my 2001 v-6

how much would it run me to fix all this? i have a system, and i tired refilling it, and when i got to the L side, (behind the engine, under the alternator on a V6) it let some pressure out, and i couldnt fill it further, i have 153k MILES, and i want to know if it's a good idea to use the A/C
