ok last week i added more power steering fluid but today it started to make a humming sound again when i turned the wheel but the sound only comes from my side not from the passenger side ... what could the problem be now?

Are you saying that it makes these sounds while moving and turning the wheel, or does it make sounds when you are sitting still and turning the wheel?

Well depending how low the system got you may still have air in the lines.
If the sounds comming from the driver side, you probly have issues with the control valve on the rack.
I just had to do inner and outer tierod ends, to get rid of a thumping from the rack.

okay, Hate to thread jack but I my self am having the same issue when I turn left or right I get a screeching kind of sound, I've checked the power steering fluid level and its good, I checked the lines for leaks all is good as well. it doesn't pull in either direction and it is not harder to turn the wheel, It did not make any sounds prior to me washing my car this morning. any help or suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks.

This also started for me a few days ago, it screeches when rolling slow, turning, and braking. I get the Groaning noises when turning the wheel as well.
Just started all of a sudden...about 3 days after I replaced my fourth hub assembly...Gonna take a look tomorrow, I'll let you guys know what I find.
UPDATE: Yeah so, the groaning was due to a snapped coil spring, which has been replaced, along with a completely destroyed Strut bearing. So that's fixed, but now there's this awesome screeching when braking, pulling away from a stop, reversing, a turning. No noise on highway or at cruising speeds.
I am completely unable to tell where the noise in coming from, sometimes it seems up front, other times I can't tell. Brakes maybe?
