How many amps does one headlight pull? just the standard bulb? and then what about the "high wattage" versions?

thanks.

well the standeard bulb should be 55w, i rly don't know much for amps or if you can convert it to it. higher wattage ones sometimes are about 65w. but hid lights usually only draw 35w, unless you are lucky enough to get one of the sold out illegal ones that are 55w.

ok. W=A*V (actually V=I*R but who needs proper labelling)

so 55/12=A

55W=4.58A
65W=5.41A
35W=2.91A (but needs ballast)

hhmm.... got me thinking.

anyone know how many lumens those are?

Edit: best halogen ~1200 lumen
standard HID ~3600 lumen.

I got my info. Thanks jason. This can stick around, incase anyone wanted to know these numbers.
