it'll be less expensive to get a walbro pump, and its not a pain in the ass. its easier than it looks.

78k on a original fuel pump aint to bad huh? one shop said i should replace fuel filter also even though i just replaced it 11 months ago he said when a pump goes it can ruin the filter so always replace it to what you guys think?

i dunno, but i tried to change my filter last week, and it's still sitting in my car. there's not much room and i couldn't figure out how to get it out!

Use one of those windshield wiper arm removal tools (I think that's what they're called), hold the filter against the fuel line as you pry the fitting away from the filter with the tool.....
