my spedometer is not working and the rpms are really off and the transmisson is not shifting smoothly it is having problems shifting I have to go down to 1st gear and then it will shift properly. if anybody can help me that would be great.

Sounds like a modual somewhere.
Any SVS lights?

that is the problem I am not in NH I am in kentucky I am working down here for the summer is there anybody that lives in kentucky that is on aleromod

I do not know if the car is going to make it there the engine sounds great I was wondering if there is something wrong with the tranny

IAT is not going to cause the speedometer not to work.
Sounds like you have a significant electrical issue.

I found plastic peices that cover the wires and lines under my car I just found them

Have you done the obvious and check the trans fluid? Also if you could pull the code the check engine light is throwing it would help!

I was also thinking of VSS. A way of doing s crude check on the VSS that (at least on my Escort) the cruise control uses the VSS signal, so if the VSS is bad, the cruise control doesn't work. Again, on my Escort, the transmission uses the signal generated by the VSS.
VSS = vehicle speed sensor.
I'm also wondering if you have more than one problem. How many miles are on the car?

At least the VSS -> transmission thing makes sense.
