i dont see any pics so i cant say anything, did you do it with plastic repair material and not bondo?? and or figerglass?? are you using a actual paint system, or using rattle can, which me professionaly just wont give the correct blending effect that a real paint system will
it could flake off, when you blend the clear you wont get it to lay dont right and when you buff the blend it might roll off
i dunno what do i know right??

Or if used bondo or glass did you drill holes?
bdyman
06-07-2009, 11:48 PM
dude it doesnt stick no matter what you do, bottom line, evercoat makes a plastic repair "bondo" but then again our bumpers are what??? TPE OR SOME YRS ARE TPO,, which means what??? it is a what??? a offlien thermo set plastic which means what??????
that plastic need a adheshiion promoter for any material to stick, and no bondo will not stick, ugggggggg

i doubt richie is going to argue with me that body filler sticks to plastic, sorry, we dont use body filler to repair plastic either, or customize plastic, is scot center console bondo??? nope its all plastic, is my rear bumper bondo?? nope its all plastic
and good to know that your buddy is doing it the right way you will be satisfied with the results in the long run, it will look better, and last as long as you have the car and yrs after that
and i will never listen to grim....lol....sorry will never happen
if my boss saw me using bondo or fiberglass on plastic i would be fired, we would loose statefarm, and would be known as a hack shop, i dont care what you or anyone else says, it doesnt stick, i have to redo plastic becasue it was repaird the wrong way, i really wish i would have taken pictures of the plastic that was repaired the wrong way with your magical drilling of holes and you could see the lack of adheshion, and how bondo just cracks right off
i dont give a rats ass if my savior came to me and said it sticks i will tell him it dont

child | ch īld|
noun ( pl. children |ˈ ch ildrən|)
a young human being below the age of full physical development or below the legal age of majority.
• a son or daughter of any age.
• an immature or irresponsible person : she's such a child!
• a person who has little or no experience in a particular area : he's a child in financial matters.
• ( children) the descendants of a family or people : the children of Abraham.
• ( child of) a person or thing influenced by a specified environment : a child of the sixties | OPEC was in a sense a child of the Cold War.
I think more than one applies.
Either way, to the OP, If it stays looking like that, all should be good. But to me it looks like it's missing something without it there.
