Arguably, the stock exhaust manifolds are some of the most restrictive pieces bolted to the V6. Expect gains of around 15HP or so. A few more with a good (Borla or SLP) cat-back exhaust. If you want a PCM, email the fine folks at www.digitalhorsepowerinc.com (http://www.digitalhorsepowerinc.com). Gains from a 62mm TB and CAI are fairly minimal, given the cost.

A lot of people have installed TOG and S&S headers and done well. Pay the extra to get them coated though, because they will rust and look like crap if you leave them raw. This is one of the best mods you can do to our engines.... but the installation is pretty involved.

Yeah with the headers you will feel a difference and the only mod so far that you can tell that you actualy did something. I have had the togs and no major problems with mine so far.

the togs have to be welded right and s&s bolts right up.......i saw the pricing on the togs which were like i think 699 or 799 and then coating was another 150........how much are the s&s headers......

I was thinking about getting these in a while

How do you install them, esp the rear?

Carefully.

It's not a terrible install, but it ain't easy. The biggest pain will be removing your stock manifolds. It helps to remove the coil packs to gain a bit more room to the backside of the motor, and there is a touch of welding required on TOG headers (connection to catatytic converter). If you can get access to them, air tools and a lift make the job much easier.

My Togs arent welded but I have an aftermarket cat. The down pipe slid in and was easy to clamp.
