View Full Version : CAI Air Filter Replacement

I had my air filter poorly installed/mounted before and it is in bad shape! Time for a replacement. I went on AJUSA.COM to shop for filters and noticed that the "Fujita" filter was a bit cheaper than the K&N equivalent - http://www.ajusa.com/details/Fujita-Air-F5-300S-Super-Flow-High-Performance-Filters/517/0/0/67227965?pq=1&vc=FJT&pn=Super+Flow+High+Performance+Filters&vq=null&.

However, the website does explicitly state it is only for use on Fujita air intake systems - am I running a risk by replacing my K&N filter with this Fujita filter? I'm curious as to why it can only be used with the Fujita system.

i would just spen a little extra and get the k&n since you know it will work, but looking at those prices some of those are more than a k&N

True, I probably should do that.. but the concept of it looks interesting and I was curious if anyone could comment on the quality/design or whether or not it requires the full Fujita system.

It's a fcking filter, put it on whatever you want. Get AEM Dryflow, Tenzo R, Fujita, Injen, K&N, whatever you want.

I thought so.. but the website made me think otherwise! I don't want to get the filter and find out it has a hole for some sort of special part in there or something. I was reading that the Fujita filters have a spot for the MAF to mount right at the filter - are you sure, ion?

the MAF just gets clamped to just like any other piece of pipe or the throttle body
