Okay,

So i've been researching for over a week now, and I can't find anything that tells me which air filter i should be using with my intake. I'm hesitant with Ractive filters (which are cheap and widely available), I've heard of them sucking oil into the engine and causing issues.

I've heard things of AEM dryflow, and Tenzo filters, but not much.

And then there is K&N, I've heard alot of things, but in order to get one the same size I have now, the shops here was 80 bucks for it. "Special Order" Can anyone show me where I can get one cheaper, and provide input (and maybe model numbers) on which filter I should get?

You really don't need to order a K&N for the shop. Places like Summit and Jegs have them in a large quanty and Summit gives all the measurements for them.

Typically inatke systems have a 3 inch opening, Then it's just a matter of height, and width of what will fit/you want ;)

You're on to something ken. I Want a filter the same size as the one that came with my intake, and I know that the Ractive SF100 is the same size as that one. Now to find those measurements.

Are the filters usually so expensive?

yea thats about right for those brands. just take a tape measure and measure the radius of your filter tube end to order the right size.

Doesn't matter, get whatever you want that has the right opening size. I had a Tenzo R, now I have an AEM dryflow. All good.

AEM Dryflow is probably the best you can get.
