Can someone help me figure out how to remove the middle air vent and the passenger air vents? They don't come out very easily. lol

middle one, you have to take out the radio to get to. remove the staple on the front side of the shifter and pop it off. pry up on the piece around the shifter and pull that off as well. next carefully pry around the radio trim bezel with either a flat blade screw driver or small putty knife or something like that. take that off and u will see i think 3 7mm screws holding the radio in. take those out and remove the radio (dont need to unplug it) reach up in that empty space and you will feel 2 metal clips. push up on those and pull on the vent at the same time and it should pop out.

passenger side is the same except you have to remove the glove box. for this i think you have to take off a couple black pieces at the bottom underneath the glovebox, the i think 4-5 more bolts holding it in. then reach up under the vent and you will feel 2 more metal clips. push up on these as you try to pull the vent out. this one was a huge PITA for me, but just be patient, dont want to crack anything. hope that helps.

you do not really need to take the radio out to get to the vent, but it would probably be easier. I just used a really thin screwdriver to slide in underneath and pop the clips to slide it right out.

i tried that too becaus ei didnt want to take the radio out. what ended up happening was instead of getting underneath the clip, i kept getting the screwdriver nthe middle of it, and tried prying that way. ended up bending the shit out of it so much i couldnt get the vent out without taking out the radio. taking out the radio isnt that big a deal, and will most likely save you time and aggravation.

Is there any, ANY way of getting to those metal clips in the passenger vent easier? I don't care what I have to strip down at this point, this thing is a bitch to get out!

haha, i just had to do this again a few days ago. you must take out the glovebox, which im sure you have already done. there is really no ther way to get to the clips. next, either from the back push up on the metal clips that are on the bottom, or from the front, take a putty knife or something similar and try to get it underneath the clip.(pushing up from inside is much easier). once you have the clips compressed enough, you should be able to pull the bottom of the vent out a little bit, at least so the clips are no longer stuck inside the hole. once the clips on the bottom are out, try to move the entire thing downwards. there are two more plastic clips on top, farther apart than the metal ones on the bottom. the left one, towards the center of the car isnt that bad and should kinda free itself from the dash, but the other one needs to be pushed down a little bit, and kind of pulled forwards. these two seemed to get caught on the excess vinyl around the hole when i removed the vent, so if that happens it might be easier to just cut a tiny bit of the vinyl. hopefully this helps you get it out. i know ive done it about 4-5 times now and it never gets any easier.

Since we have the center and passenger vents down, how do we remove the driver side vent?

It's easy to un clip if you remove that fuse panel cover.. you can see it right in there.
