How deep is the scratch? If it is not deep, maybe it will come off with plastic polish.

i'd sand it, then paint it.
check out silent's thread on making gauge cluster gauge pods. Someone near the end of the thread (one of the two threads about it) mentioned that there is some paint that nearly matches the texture of our interior pieces. I'm not sure who the poster was, but i remember he was responding to yalero.

pocket knife scratch no so deep but deep enough to agravate me, i had drilled to holes so i could cut an area out for a switch, made the bigginer mistake of cutting form the top side, when i shoulda flipped it over so all mistakes woulda been on the underside...
thats why im still a noob

found this but it doesnt have anything i saw about paint, that peice is black though cant be too hard to match i halve to ill take the prnd321 peice out and paint the get a friend to sand and piant it, clear coat it like he did some of his stuff, but it i couuld get away with a simple fix id like to do that, its kinda blocked by the ebrake from passenger view but the sun catches it and highlights it for me, a reminder of my one mistake

awsome that just sparked an idea, we used a granit textured style paint for the steering wheel on my pops restored 67 chevy truck, i gonna get some black in, tape of the scratch as narowly as possible and try it in there
goal, no paint anywhere but in the scratch its self,
gonna test it on teh back first though, to see if its too diff from teh original luster of the plastic, dont want to highlight the crack

ok its self hammered metalic silver, did a new shift knob too, looks like the paint on the rubber grip of the handle isnt gonna work well, gotta see how dry it is in the morning

Here it is, I'm not so keen on it, because the paint wern't for plastic and is coming off. Gonna fix it, then seal it with some spray can clear coat stuff.
Like the new knob I made?
