Hey I put a pacesetter header on my Alero. I had to extend the o2 wire, but I did it very carefully, didn't just throw some electrical tape on it and call it a day. I made it so its just enough to reach the plug, but with a little slack so it doesn't yank on the wire. Well I'm now throwing the P0133 code which is a slow response from the o2. The wiring looks perfectly fine, could the o2 be messed up?

it's farther away from stock, it responds to the combustion that happens in the engine slower

get a heated O2 sensor

Doesn't the heated O2 sensors have 4 wires when the regular one has 2?

yep, so you tap into the rear o2 sensor's heater wires so power comes on when the car comes on

well, yeah o_O, get the universal BOSCH O2, comes with posi-lock connectors, works great.

i'm not sure why our engine's don't have the upstream heated stock, the eco's do. you get to closed loop ultra fast with heated lol, and it's more accurate and switches quicker.

it's a slow response, so either your O2 sensor is getting bad (the signal switching slows down over time as it wears out), or it's that your sensor is too far away, or both.

the solution for both problems is using a heated O2. it's like $55.

ahhh...I searched for "heated o2 sensor" not "oxygen sensor". I'll check the store tomorrow. If it's not there, I'll buy online. Thanks
