Are there any Grand Am mirrors that wouldn't fit? A friend of mine just bought a 2000 Grand Am with dual-post mirrors and I was thinking about trading with him. Can anyone foresee any problems with that? I have searched but I just want to be sure.

Alright, thanks. I'm not sure what exact model he has or what packages he got with it but he certainly has the dual-post mirrors.

GAGT's all have dual-post mirrors on the 99-05 models, and will fit on Aleros. :)

Isn't there something about the grand Am mirrors on an Alero, that if you adjust them up, they actually go down? I seem to remember that being mentioned????

How do I go about actually removing the mirrors? I can get them all the way off with the exception of the cable (power mirrors) that runs from the door into the assembly; the little connector is just far enough down that I can feel it but can't disconnect it. Am I going to have to take off the door panels?

yes unfortunately you do. i had to replace my drivers side mirror and i had to take the door panel off to get to the plug

Ive read that too. As far as Ive read, that applies to power mirrors. If you move the switch up, the mirror will go down and vice versa. No big deal though (unless you dont know about opposites).
