the stock knob from the Alero is only for the Alero (99-04) or Grand Am (1999-2005)

those look like they're for manual trans. For auto on our cars, you need the button (for safety, anyways)

It looks good, but the lack of a button may be an inconvenience to you. If the knob doesn't have a button, I think you have to pull the whole knob down when you're going to change gears rather than just push a button.

Most GM shift knobs interchange between the models though...

I like the Auto Shifters from BMW's. Similar style to these. they look more like a manual shifter. Don't know how hard it would be to incorporate it.

I have a manual though

Thats' weird. Do you have to lift the button up?

I've never even seen an autotragic solstice. Though you'd probably be better off using the whole boot...

This one is expensive but I bet the CF would look tight in my auto:

yes. the button pushes up and in, in order to shift it. its awesome. THATS the kind i'm looking for.

even if i have to keep the boot... thats fine by me. but i don't want to pay that much to find out it wont adapt. :glare:

+12 shipping. That is a lot. But if he likes it, and find no better or similar looking one, then he should go for it. It's not like he will buy shift knobs every day
