So when my lights go on the dash lights don't always come on. Some times they come on and stay on, other times they come on after driving or they come on then off... blah, blah blah, you get it.
Moving the dimmer swith up and down sometimes gets them going but not consistently.
What needs to be replaced? the switch with the dimmer? Thanks

This is a problem you need to address immediately. In my experience, when the dash lights haven't came on, that meant that there were no taillights either. I found a short which was the problem, and you need to check fuses #45 and #47 in the fusebox under the hood. Good luck.

sounds easier to just sell it :)
so where was the short then? just a bad fuse or was there a wiring issue?

its probably your dimmer switch, since moving it around will sometimes work.
bypass it completely and have them constantly on, to see if it temp fixes it.
if it does, then the switch is bad. if it doesn't, then its somewhere else.

Yeah wiring. But what cherry said is possible too.

i'm guessing switch, I still need to see if the headlights are coming on at all or if it's just not the dash lights. Checking that tonight
thanks

Pop the little holder under the vent out. Then just push the vent from behind it with the hole u just created

are they just those metal spring type clips that are generally mounted on a flat piece of plastic?
That's was what I was going to try, thanks
