well last week i was driving home and all of a sudden a weird grindig noise came up in my passenger side, it almust sounded like a motorcicle. anyways i drove all the way home, when i came to a stop sign and tried to turn the weel it was really stiffy.

so i got home and the steering pump pulley had broke and the belt was burnign cause it jumped one line lol
i went and looked up for the pump at the part store and it was like $180.

so i went 2 da junkyard ant 2 my amaze most gm veicles have the 3100 engine i saw like 100 or more 3100, but the 3400 comes different.
it has a sensor so i finally found one in a grand am lucky the only 3400 engine on the whole yard. its like the 3400 is a rare engine or somthing,
anyways i changed it and that pump worked wonderfull, but it took me like 3 hours to find a 3400 engine right in between all the 3100, so its scarce lol but yup dats my story sucks doesnt it???:p

that "sensor" isn't a sensor at all. It's a valve for the variable assist. Some cars with 3100s have that too. It can be switched over however.
