Hey all,
I might be in wrong area but figured it would work. I got the 2001 gls needing brakes. I dont' want to do em myself so wondering what I can expect cost wise for 4 disc change and rotor grinding? Someone here worked at a gm dealership if I remember right? Any idea on the stealership prices? Yes I know how much cheaper it is to do it yourself so don't bother going there lol.

If you aren't going to do it yourself DO NOT go to a dealership! Go to any garage that does brakes. Midas does it..
You're in California, there has to be car shops everywhere..
Why don't you want to do them yourself? It's easy. Real easy.

No tools and can't do em in my apts as a rule.. no working on vehicles. I also have a warranty so I was going to have em look over the hubs and stuff. Thanks for reply btw. Wondering though how much midas or les schwab would be.

Yeah like everybody said, not hard to do it yourself, but I understand about rules about working on cars where you live. I'm allowed to do it from sunup to sun down and I still have a neighbor that bitches.
Brakes are not covered under warranty. It a normal wear and tear item
Takes an hour to do one axle

If you have a 24 hour advance auto or any other 24 hour parts store, do it right in their parking lot at nighttime. You buy the parts there and they loan you the tools for free. Everybody wins.
