Every, or most, states have those bullshit laws. You'll get the tough guy cops pulling people over for a few months, then really, no one gives a shit, unless you smart mouth a cop, s/he won't say shit.

eh, I personally think license plate frames are lame, but I thought I'd just put out a little friendly warning to anybody with one around here

They've already got that law down here. They will actually pull you over for it, but unless the cop has something against you, he will most likely just give a warning.

Right now in Phoenix I'm sure they will be hard asses about it. Its all just a way to make more revenue. Just like all the speeding cameras we have on are freeways, nothing more that revenue makers.

Yes they have them about a mile apart along all are freeways. They are set to go off if your going 11 mph over the speed limit, $165 ticket with a $20 sur charge and no points go on your record.

i'd be worse if they put them on Rt 1. (if i'm remembering correctly thats the name of the highway that cuts through the desert, that doesn't have much of an enforced speed limit)

My god man! This is just another stupid damn way of squeezing more money out of the average american driver. Though I may not be american, but if memory serves me right, don't each state have specific designs and graphics on them for each state? Hell I can clearly identify a Texas, Calif. and Montana plate just from driving by.......and I'm in alberta!!! Are cops becoming so damn stupid that they can't even identify a plate of the state they are to serve to? Pathetic!

it stems from the fact that Arizona has over 60 plate designs with all the specialty plates (veteran, alternative fuel, prevent child abuse, save the environment, university plates, etc)

As for the speed cameras, people are going nuts over them, covering them with post it notes and crap, one guy even got busted taking a pick axe to one of them. Everyone knows they're set at 11 over so just don't go faster than that and you're ok. But, the fucktards out here always seem to slow down to about 10 under which is going to cause a wreck soon enough.
