P0133 code: O2 sensor slow response

This just started happening and its kinda wierd. I replaced the stock exhaust manifold for a pace setter awhile back and recently my car started throwing an O2 sensor slow response code and kicking the trac off, svs, and antilock lights on. I did have to extend the wires but I used the same size wire to extend them too. Anyone have any ideas?

o2 sensor is farther away

put a heated one in there, tap into the rear o2's heater wires to power the new front ones

Has the light been on the whole time?

If you never reset the light, it takes 3 consecutive ignition cycles where the P0133 diagnostic cycle runs without a fault to clear the light.

Yeah give it awhile. If that was the problem, it'll clear itself off after awhile of driving. When you fix a problem that throws a code, either you can clear it and it shouldn't come back, or it'll clear itself after you drive long enough.

I cleared the code with the scaner at checker but the lights still pop on. If the car sits for an hour or more there are no lights til I drive for awhile, anywhere from 5 mins to 30 mins, then the anti-lock, svs, and trac off pop on.

that means you have a bad wheel bearing, not a bad o2 sensor :lol:

If it was the o2 sensor, i think it would be the check engine light that would show.

K, when I scanned my car it only had the trac off, svs, and anti-lock lights on and it still threw a p0133 code, so no its not wheel bearings.

I try to find the logic in the fact that the traction control or ABS and the O2 sensor have a link together.

O2 sensor trigger the check engine light, generally.

I found something on the internet:

"P0133 is all about the Oxygen Sensor. It means the O2 is slow or faulty. Change the O2. Check for connection there. If still there after that, look for exhaust leak.

PO113 is Intake Air Temp Sensor- high input
high input often can mean the sensor is open circuit, ie disconnectted or missing a power, ground etc, the the sensor or pcm. A bad CAT can cause this. "


So, is this a "zero" or a "O" on the code??

I tried to find the list of codes, but falied, anyone know where they are?

That O2 sensor code might just be in the stored memory of your ECM. The O2 sensor you replaced might not have even been bad! Like Vinalero said, with the SVS, ABS and TRAC OFF lights coming on, it's your wheel bearing, or at least your ABS sensor in the wheel bearing that is bad / going bad. Disconnect your battery, leave it sit overnight, then read the codes again. Or if you scanner has the option to clear history codes, try that first.
