Take Off Steering Wheel?!?!?!

could anybody plz tell me how in the world i can take off the steering wheel...i'm painting the interior and i can't get the dash by the steering wheel without either taking it off or cutting the dash(which i don't want to do)

plz help me soon...i want this done by monday night, and it is now 4pm sunday...

not sure on the exact walkthrough, but im pretty sure you need a steering wheel puller. might be able to use/rent one somewhere (i.e shop/autozone/etc)

that's the thing....i'm in a small town and the only puller i have acess too, is either a 2 "leg"puller, or a 3 bolt puller....i been at it for like an hour and a half and i'm ready to break something if this doesn't work...

I dunno how to do it, but I'd advise ya to just chill untill ya find out the right way to do it. Last thing u wanna do is bunny up all the air-bag poop and whatnot.

the air bag is all out of the way already...the only problem i'm having is gettin the "jaws" to grab and pull the steering wheel...so i was wondering if i was missing something... :unsure:

ahh... I see. Yea, you may have the wrong adaptor on the puller, etc... Just be carefull not force anything

got it done...had to rig up my own puller tho...thanks to the 2 that replied to help..thread can be locked
