which one? - and is it likely something else cause it like the PCM or anything or is it more than likely the sensor itself

is there more than one sensor?
and I seriously doubt it's a PCM issue..

lol ya there are 2 crankshaft sensors, one behind the harmonic balancer (which is the 24x ) and the other on the engine (which is the 7x sensor) -my question is how do i know which one to replace?

It's the 24x sensor. The car won't even run if the other one were bad.

so today the car started driving normal again and the code eventually cleared itself, i'm unsure if i should replace the CKP sensor still or not, anyone got any clue as to why it just all the sudden "fixed" itself if its the sensor?
