Ok so my locks are acting really strange. First, it started that I could lock all the doors except for the drivers door. And all doors unlocked fine. I replaced both the front door lock switches thinking there was a problem with one of them.

Now, my doors will all unlock but none of them will lock now. :pissed: The relays don't even click when I try to lock the doors. It doesn't work with either the remote entry keyfob or the door switches. Talk about annoying. I have to now manually lock all my doors. Any ideas?

Did you try replacing the relays?

I replaced the two door unlock relays but not the lock ones. I have switched them around as I assume they are all the same.

Another thing I forgot two was that it started happening around the time I installed my 4 channel alpine amp. About a week after maybe. I have checked all the fuses. My amp is connected directly to the battery. I was thinking a short. I am going to get all new relays and try that. I'm just running out of ideas. Oh and the relays I replaced were used from a buddies alero.

Oops, I messed up my original post. The first thing that happen was that I could lock all the doors but not unlock the doors except the drivers door. Thats why I tried replacing the unlock relays and switches. But then they would all unlock and then non of them lock. I guess its driving me to drink....

If the relay's don't fix it, it could be a bad BCM. The (body Control Module) controls all of the functions such as the lights, locks, Anti-theft, gauges, Ect. So that could be what is causing the lock issue.

Interesting...didn't know that. Where is this part located and about how much are they to replace? Thanks for info!

Well, its located behind the glove box up in under the dash. It is just a black box with 3 plugs going into it. I'm not sure on how much it cost, but I am very sure its expensive.

I've heard some talk in other forums online about "resetting the bcm"? Is this possible? If so it might be worth a try to solving these lock problems. Aside from unplugging it and plugging it back in, I wouldn't know how to go about trying it though.

I bet yours is the door switch. Check that.
