I didn't like chrome ring around the foglight getting water in it and turning green. So one afternoon at work, between jobs, I pulled the lights out. The outer "ring" housing it not part of the light, I took a cut off wheel and cut at the top and bottom of the outer housing, splitting it in half, quick shot with the heat gun it came off no issues. now the outer part has the aiming bolt attached to it. Easily solved with a 10mmx60mm bolt 3 nuts and a lock washer. Solid, secure, and not so dang fugly.

Yes, stock light, and they work better now the beam is wider where it was restrided by the bezel of the outershell.

ehhh.....it looks OK. I think the outer lens makes it look better.....but if the beam is wider....thats cool!

I also like the outer lens, but mine are starting to fog up too.

I know this is old, but once you open up the fog lamp outer lens, would you be able to seal it up again if you wanted? Mine are starting to fog up, and I was wondering if its possible to open them up, remove the fogging, and close them up again, only seal them better.
