Just wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys get on your 3400's. I believe mine is sub par. Also, does anyone know how many gallons of gas a 99 2dr Alero holds? Thanks

My 4 door has a 14.6 Gallon Tank, and I get about 350+ miles per tank.

I averaged 28mpg in the summer, 25ish in the winter in my 3.4L. My drive was a lot of highway, but not all.

i get about 27 highway and in the city i get about 14-17, but once i replace the spark plugs it should get better mileage

I drive mostly in the city, plus I punch it quite a bit. I just love getting thrown back into my seat every now and then.

that's one of the reasons my mileage in the city is kinda shitty

I just got 19 city and highway and was dissapointed. Just wanted to see what everyone else was getting. Was hoping for a little better mileage.

I get 28MPG in suburban driving. I drive gently and inflate the tires to 40PSI though.

check oil, s.plugs, air/fuel filters maybe run a carb/throttle cleaner through it. 19 highway is pretty low, unless you were doing like 90.

i lock my cruise control in at 65 for the whole 40mi trip.

i averaged 27.5 MPG on the highway when i drove from phoenix, az. to denver, co. and that was with AC on, the Trans in "3" the whole way, and a extremely dirty K&N Cone Filter.

My tire pressure is also at 40 psi. The 19 mpg was half city driving. Has anyone actually ever seen a first hand increase in gas mileage after installing an aftermarket air filter kit?

I use this site mainly to track fuel usage, im not a hypermiling nut.

And that jump was before and after plugs, wires, fuel filter, and adding 10 psi of air in the tires.
