For direct fit, just get a 2" in/out Magnaflow High flow. It's not rocket science when it comes to exhausts, they hacksaw off the old one and weld on the new one. Exhaust is custom in its nature, slight discrepancies are unimportant.
eBay, Summit, Jeg's, etc.

now i know PFYC.com no longer sells them due to lawsuits and being recognized as highly illegal, so not really sure who else would sell them

now the thing is.. i will be putting on the pacesetter cat back.. and possibly the pace setter headers when they come out... having that stock 2.0" pipe with the 2.0 " cat.. wouldn't that restrict it still

ya, but if you were worried about restriction you'd have headers as well. since you don't, you can get cat that has a 2" inlet 2.25 or whatever Pacesetter is outlet, or they can fab adapters no prob.
or if you plan to get headers and new pre-cat piping, just get a cat with in/outs the size of pacesetter's, they'll make an adapter for the inlet to attach to the stock downpipe, and you can upgrade later without chanigng your cat. my cat's a 2.5" in/out and the rest of the exhaust is whatever stock is, lol.

Well that makes sense.
I guess a wideband downstream or a downstream deletion will be in order ;)

No, you will be fine.

no, to be quite frank every car is different and will respond differently to different stuff, you can try a trial and error approach where you run it like its should and if you run into any exhaust problems do what is nessecary

I have the "Northeast Emissions" package in my car so everything is super senative to modding.
I bought heads for it once, those heads had to go back because they were not ported for the A.I.R. system I have in the car.
I found out that the A.I.R. system is only used during start-up. It takes exhaust and pumps it back into the heads for re-burning, but only at start-up.
The system has to stay in the car. It's a pain

I know Fuller never had his SES come on after putting a hi flow cat on but Scott (Oldsman) did. Both cars are in IL

I might have an o2 sim for ya, depending oh how my tuning goes. But I think we are deleting or surpressing the code(s) so I should be able to sell my sim.

Yeah, Caspers got totally pwn3d by the EPA on that one (I'm about 5 mintues away from them)
If you have a OBD II cat, you should be fine though.
Either way, Direct fit is Catco # 4863 or Magnaflow # 23520

It's not "northeast emissions", its the California Emissions package. Everywhere else in this country doesn't require all that crap. I would just get the PCM programmed to delete all of that junk. I've got the same thing on my car, I'd like to get rid of it at some point.

Are you looking for a direct fit as in no weld straight bolt-on? I could get you a factory reman unit but its like $450.00+shipping.

no catalytic converter "bolts on." welding or... clamping.. is necessary on the rear side but seriously, I got my cat for $60. install was $60, welded.

Ion I ask if he wanted a direct bolt on. The factory is direct bolt on. Re-read my post before posting.

Edit: this will not trip a cat code and it CARB rated, it's a factory reman unit.

I did read your post, and will not re-read your post before posting.
I thought my cat was behind the flange that's behind the cat in that image, which would mean that one side bolts to the flange while the other side would have to be clamped or welded on. I didn't remember what it looked like, excuse me.
The direct bolt ons are like $400-600, absolutely ridiculous when you can get a freaking universal one and weld it on for $120 or less total including install.

The two that I posted are direct bolt on and run just a touch over $150.
