Trac light on with hard shifting too

Lately when driving for a while the "trac off" light comes on and the car will shift hard between gears and makes groaning noises . feels like the damn engine is going to fall out. plus+... when this happens, ill pull over right away and put it into park. then ill try to drive again and when i put it back into drive or even reverse, a bang noise and car shakes. the car is currently having idle problem but i think this may be a separate issue with the tranny. and if i turn the car off and turn it back on, the trac off light will be out and it'll drive fine for a while then happen again all over again.

any experience with trac off lights and hard shifting please help.

Unplug your battery for like 10 or 20 minutes, hopefully itll turn that crap off, and itll relearn how to shift. What randomly happens to me once in a great great while is my ABS SVS SES and somethin else all light up at once, so what I gotta do is stop, put the car in park. turn it off, pull the key out, wait 10 seconds, put it back in, start it and its all back to normal :)
