This is what happens when you have the same spark plugs in your car that the factory put in when it was built. I bought 6 new AC plugs for almost $60 yesterday, and put them in today. With the dam A.I.R. system in the way I had to take the one off the back, and remove the coil packs as well to get to the rear plugs. Here are some pictures of the plugs that I pulled out of the car, they're not the best, but I don't have the best camera either.

Your new plugs cost 2X what they should have, but its cool you got it done. Did mine recently too.

Well, I've got 75,475 on my car as of today, so that's how many miles the've got on 'em. I can't even tell you the improvement I felt after changing them out, also got a new Fram air filter, the old one was from the factory as well. Next up is the oil. I'm scared to run synthetic now after seeing the plugs and air filter. I don't know how well my engine will react to it.

Will do... I've heard you can run Seafoam through your vacuum lines, is this true? I'm kind of hesitant to do it, but I've talked to people who say it works wonders.

Factory air filter with 75K miles?

Probably factory oil too...

they should have been about $20 not $60....mine had factory spark plugs in it and i changed them at 65k......the back ones are not that hard to get at.....it is much worse trying to get at some spark plugs on a 83 regal t-type because u have to go through the turbo up/down pipes and its near impossible with the fenders on (i know u could care less about that but just stating it i have seen far harder plugs to get at)

I got the AC Delco double platinum, that's why they were so expensive. I want to do everything I can to this car within reason, but I also want to do it right and get the most bang for my buck. These plugs were just what my baby needed.

Bosch plugs run like shiat in just about any GM vehicle. I tried the Platinum 4's in my 3.1 Malibu, and one got blown apart, leaving the threads in my cylinder head for me to painfully extract. That was enough of a beotch to make me never buy anything Bosch for my car again, except maybe an oil filter, or fuel pump. Ok so some stuff seems ok.
