c/f gauge bezel poll

I've read previous threads on installing a c/f gauge bezel by folding it and insertiing through the speedomter or rpm gauge whole. I have two questions: when you accomplish this is there any bent markings on the piece? also, I still am not sure if i should try it cause someone on here had broke the c/f piece and scratched his stock piece, how many of people on here had installed a c/f bezel this way with perfect results?
