Ok, so today I installed leds in my needles just like yalero did. 3 o'clock for the small ones and 9/12/3 for the larger ones. Everything is perfect and it looks sooooo damn good, but when I went to try them out in my g/f's car, only the tachometer works!

I dont get it. Would it have to do with the fact that I tried it im a different alero (i highly doubt it). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Btw, the needles are not rubbing or stuck, except for the speedometer. It seems like it is a lot harder to move now.

did you lay the gauges down flat without the bezels and press on them at all?

No, I haven't tried that. I did press pretty hard, just not with the bezels. I will give it a try and pray thats it.

well... i guess the first thing you should do is make sure the needle motors are mounted all the way in.

second, make sure the wire harness is clipped in all the way. I wouldn't push the needles in the whole way... just kinda set them on needle stem, and give them a tap. they certainly don't mount all the way down.

third, are you sure the car is on? your not just moving the needle with your finger, right??

Oh, believe me, my car is on and i usually dont rev it with my fingers...lol. Everything is plugged / mounted correctly. I can try to put the needles on a little easier and see if that does the trick.

also, the needle motors seemed to click into place, after only turning a certain way... i'd check to make sure everything is mounted on correctly.

Im just gonna redo the whole thing. I have thicker wire than what i would prefer, and it just isnt working. So maybe tonight I might get on that, take everything out, make sure the stock set up still works, rewire the leds, and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks so far for the help!

As soon as I get some 20/22 gauge wire, I will get some pictures up.

Hopefully redoing everything will make it work again...lol
