did the usual seafoam cleaning but instead of through the pcv valver i tried the brake booster which we use to do at valvoline and is on youtube in hundreds of videos. well now my car feels like its gunna stall while driving regular speeds on roads? idles fine and no ses light. what the heck is that? why would that happen? any ides of what it could be?

I take that purely out of my head, but I think that when using Seafoam, it is possible to clog your Catalytic converter or dmg your spark plugs. When the carbon deposit are removed, they go thru the exhaust and big chunks can get stuck in the cat.

Or it could only be a coincidence.

id hope spark plugs first. if it was the spark plugs it wouldnt necessarily thros a code right. anything else it might be?

yeah i put back together one thing i did different was i took the whole booster cap off instead of taking the tube off the cap and ran seafoam through that but it looks like just a regular grommet i dont think that would harm anything.

Did you remove the checkvalve before you poured cleaner through the brake booster? You shouldn't use the brake booster anyway. Majority doesn't equal right.

You're supposed to replace the spark plugs and change the oil after using Seafoam.

......................... -_-The later is true but I don't know about the sparkplugs cause I've ran it through a few times with my new plugs and haven't had a problem yet.

I dont even know what the brake booster line is.. ive always just popped the entire intake tube off and dumped it in there while it was running..

but now that I know where the PCV valve is- gonna try that later on

well if you replaced everything else the first thing you should have the dealership do is a flow test on the cat.
and unless youo put seafoam in with your oil, you shouldn't need to worry about the oil. that wouldn't make it run bad anyways. before you take it in i'd check over eveything and make sure its all hooked up, esp. the vacuum hoses. and pull all the plugs to see if they are all firing.

check your coils and your ICM (ignition control module). i remember on my cavalier and had to the same problem. after months of troubleshooting. it was the ICM the whole time. take it off and test it at your local autozone. they have a machine that can test it where they test the batteries and alternators.

i also have a extended crank idk if that ties into it i thought that was just a typical gm issue maybe its connected autozone can test that? i have autozones where i like what exactly do i have them test again?
