For the 3.1/3.4L V6, there is PaceSetter Header #70-1207 (black paint finish, #72C1207 ARMOR*Coat finish). This header fits the 1997-03 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1997-05 Buick Century, and 2000-05 Chevy Monte Carlo and Impala.

This header features PaceSetter’s CNC-machined, port-matched 3/8” thick steel flange, 1-5/8” 16-gauge primaries and 3” downpipes with stainless steel flex joint. Hook up for EGR is provided, but the header is for off road use only.

For non-supercharged 3.8L, PaceSetter offers #70-1213 (black paint) and #72C1213 (ARMOR*Coat). Designed for the 1997-03 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1997-05 Buick Regal, and 2000-05 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and Impala, primaries are 1-5/8” with 3/8” thick flanges and 2-1/2” down pipes. This header is for off road use only.

Congrats. You might want to search around before posting these new discoveries, as we've known about everything you've posted thus far since the information existed. :)

That and those are made for W bodies with 3400's. Nowhere in that posting is an alero or GA listed.

w body uses the 4t60 trans and the headers are shaped different to work around that. And pacesetter is getting like $650 for a set anyway, for a smidge more than that you can get S&S headers which we all know work.

ouch.. that's quite a bit of moolah for a set of headers O_o

as far as the difference they make.. is it worth it? I think I read somewhere that Redog has these.. not sure though-

Just got news direct from Pacesetter.... Headers for the Alero/GA/Malibu will be released about Sept Oct of this year. Pricing will be a little less than what the pricing is for the 3.1/3.4L Headers for the w-bodies

it's NOT from an intrigue  i've tried to match it up with several intrigues and it just doesnt match. how much was the tranny?

and I can't wait for these headers to come out.. that and a bigger TB is the next things on my list after I get the car in tip top shape.
