So while driving my car its making what seems to be a grinding noise or rubbing, whenever i turn the wheel to the right the noise will stop until i straighten the wheel back up,

the only thing that i can see that it might be is the front right rotor which has some pretty visible scraps on from where the brake pad is digging into it i guess. someone told me it might be my cv joints but i'm unsure if its them or not.

any help is appreciated!

Sounds like the wheel hub.

Any dash lights?

i've had the normal 3 lights on ( trac off, service vechile, and forgot the other ) and never heard this noise, its a pretty loud noise at that

would the wheel hub cause my rotor to get messed up like it is?

yep. the wheel hub bearing when they are messed up, will cause the rotor to be leaning to a side, too.

100 bucks at autozone, or any parts store. easy fix.

so more than likely the rotor that is messed up is the wheel hub i need to replace right? or should i replace both?

well- if the rotor has scratches / gouges.. I would say yes.

Put the front of the car on jacks, raise the car high enough to take off both front wheels. Start the car and make sure this whole time to have the emergency brake engaged. When i needed to find out if mine was the cv axle or something else this is what i did and it ended up being the passenger side cv axle, put the car in drive and turn the wheel and have someone or yourself observing the car while doing it.

^^^ hell that's what I'd do.. screw blowing money at a shop to have them raise it up and charge 50 bucks just to get the car off the ground-

i fixed it the other day, the bearing was shot in the front right side, but i still got the 3 lights so i'm assuming one of the others will soon be following.

The light is for the ABS sensor inside the wheel bearing assembly. You could have a good bearing but the sensor inside is bad. Which means u got to change out the whole assembly.

Only way to know which one is to find a shop that has a SNAP-ON ABS code scanner. Or the GM tech2 scanner. And they can read the code to location what corner sensor is bad.

I agree I just replaced my wheel hub bearing well both of them best way to tell is getting it checked out
Just so you know my car made the same sounds and it was the wheel bearing not a hard job to do but I just paid a mechanic to do it for me
