Mr knuckles (mr bro) snapped off a stud when doing an angry roadside flat change. He has 4 or the 5 lugnuts still on OK, the shop says they need 70 bucks to change out the bad one. This seems high, but it seems like a PIA job.

Thoughts?

sounds right.. they're charging you an hour for labor. Which it will only take about 30 minutes to do.

Its quite easy if u have the right tools.

happy I have contacts at dealerships. Cost be 25 bucks to get my car inspected and since the mechanic works with my dad he changed a lug on my jeep for free, took like 20 minutes and he did it all.

Yeah I thought as much, perhaps I should keep a torque wrench in the trunk as well for him...

not hard to do att all... prolly one of the easier fixes to do..

just pound the broken lug out, and insert the new one and hit it in... and ur done
