that might be the hazard switch.

ive read some posts on both and im a little confused the hazard switch is that the red hazard button or sumthin behind it thats recalled? and the multi switch is the thing under the steering wheel right?
you probably have the multi-function switch problem. It's the whole unit that includes the signal lever and the wiper switch. like black said, you can clean it with a qtip and electric cleaner, or buy a new one, but that cost a lot more. here a how to http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50126

yes dealer said im not covered so would it be easer to replace it for easier to just clean it. i really want to replace it if its not crazy hard.
honestly it would be about the same. either way, you have to take the multi function switch out. you are better off trying to clean it first to save about $120. i usually only do the general maintenance on my car, and this was very easy for me to do. register on the link i posted to see the pictures, as they help a lot.

Okay, I had this EXACT problem happen to me last year.
I thought the problem was within the hazard switch, so I ordered a new replacement part (imagine my ire when the clicking still happened)
SO- my husband started poking around. He wondered if the problem wasn't somewhere inside the steering wheel column, so he took it off. We found that there was a bit of corrosion on the relay switch that was causing the electric current to flow through to the turn signal sound. It wasn't enough of a connection to cause the lights to flash, though. We cleaned it off, and *knock on wood* have not had a problem since.
Give it a shot! Best of luck to ya...
